To Be Young and Dumb…But Not This Dumb…
The Glory Days… UPenn 2001 (314 Day)
Look, I did dumb things in college- like offering a campus security officer a beer when he came to our house because of a noise complaint. In fairness, we were trying to finish off a keg we didn't get to that weekend (they are not cheap)- but it was a Tuesday, and apparently some kids wanted to study on our block- and the Rugby team can get loud. I don't know why I was picked to talk to the officer, the party wasn't even my idea, but, like fine.

He did inform me that technically we were violating Philadelphia's prostitution laws (which I found out later after researching it we weren't- but those are funny laws) - but did have a moment of panic at the thought of having to make the phone call to my Dad that I was arrested for prostitution. So, I did literally the stupidest thing ever and said 'Officer, you are more than welcome to come have a beer'. Luckily he just laughed and said 'Also, not a good idea to try to bribe an officer'- but thankfully laughed it off and let us go with 'It's Tuesday ladies, you may want to also consider studying'...So as I was saying, I get being dumb in college, but this, this is actually no joke- to threaten lives, is never a joke- click the image for the link:
It’s one thing to be dumb and test boundaries in college- but it should more apply to how your want to learn and discover how to view the world. (Or in my case how far you are willing to go to not return a full keg because you worked too hard at the campus Greek restaurant and its a waste to not have it totally kicked). But that world doesn’t include things like racism, hate, and sexual deviance. At least that’s my opinion- what do you think?
