Why no one should say Zeitgeist again

Here is why- nobody actually gets the meaning of it. It is super popular in NYC private schools and they will talk for hours about the importance of ‘Zeitgeist’- and its actually comical. The word means ‘child ghost’- so while they are paying over 60K for their children to find the ‘Zeitgeist'- I also had to listen to a boss trying to parlay this term in to the stock market (she also knew nothing about that) - You want to know the ‘Zeitgeist’ about the stock market? or movies- or basically anything in life? - don’t use terms you don’t know about. Find the Zeitgeist in that… also that was rude, but how strongly I feel about the misuse of the word. Mainly because it upset me on a daily basis she felt superior for a word she learned in child- teacher conferences… and thought it made her look smart. We have a city of idiots that misuse this word and think they look smart.
