How do you describe Capote?

I actually can’t.
After pouring over his works and the newest -released short story, the man remains an enigma. Much like my boyfriend Trevor feels about Steven King,
I completely want to get where Truman Capote is coming from - and I probably never will. So let’s deep dive into some of his greatest work- or in 250 words.

‘Another Day in Paradise’ - a story about a forlorn expat woman in Sicily. Capote did love his forlorn women. What is interesting about it - is the main character, Iris, is bitter (aren’t we all)- but in telling her story he creates ‘Betty’ the be the anti-hero- she actually has dealt with tragedy yet refuses to give up.

Capote, was a complicated man - but while I stayed up all night after reading ‘In Cold Blood’- I am really excited this short story is coming out. Capote got complexity, and brilliantly articulated it with ‘Another Day in Paradise.’
